We at 1989 Games want to cellebrate this decision by Hazbro and Wizards of the Coast (WotC). Many were skeptical, including us, that WotC would not do the right thing, but they listened to the overwhelming voice of the community.

Looking to the future, we hope we can start to develop new SRDs in a community-driven approach much like open source. We’d love to see this SRD put on GitHub (or similar) with the community as the custodian of future versions of the rules. But for now, let’s celebrate this milestone!
